Nick Mamatas (February 2009)

Nick Mamatas is the author of two novels, the satire Under My Roof and the Lovecraftian Beat road novel Move Under Ground. His short fiction has appeared everywhere from the Mississippi Review to Brutarian Quarterly, and his reportage and essays can be found in the Village Voice, various slicks, and pretty much everywhere online. A native New Yorker, Nick now lives in the California Bay Area.

 

Aimee Bender (April 2009)

Aimee Bender is the author of three books: "The Girl in the Flammable Skirt," "An Invisible Sign of My Own" and "Willful Creatures." Bender's short fiction has been published in Tin House, Granta, the Paris Review, Harper's, and more, as well as anthologized in Best American Non Required Reading, Best American Fantasy and the Pushcart Prize Anthologies. She lives in L.A. and teaches writing at USC.

 

Lynn Scharon Schwartz (April 2009)

Lynne Sharon Schwartz is the author of 21 books, including novels, short story collections, non-fiction, poetry and translations. Schwartz will be discussing her new memoir, “Not Now, Voyager.” Her stories and essays have been reprinted in many anthologies, including “The Best American Short Stories,” “The O. Henry Prize Stories” and “The Best American Essays.” She has taught writing and literature at colleges and universities both nationally and internationally.
